I write software the way some people fold paper — slowly, with one eye on the grain. The work I love most is the kind that looks calm and behaves wild: an interface that feels obvious, a system that holds together under weather.
I'm drawn to small obsessions: typography, latency, the way a cursor lands. I keep a list of ideas that may never ship. I read more poetry than is reasonable for a person who debugs for a living.
